Krishan Oberoi is a composer and conductor of Indian and French-Canadian descent.

He was born in New York and attended Yale University. His work has been featured in TIME magazine, the Los Angeles Times and the Boston Globe, among other publications.

As a conductor, he has prepared ensembles for Pulitzer Prize-winning composer David Lang, Oscar-winning composer Michael Giacchino, and Tony award-winning composer Alan Menken.

Oberoi has been hailed as a “visionary” (San Diego Story) for his role as Founder and Principal Guest Conductor with SACRA/PROFANA, a California-based choral organization established in 2009.

In 2018, Oberoi received the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Boston University. He currently lives with his wife Kirsten in Massachusetts, where he serves on the faculty of Stonehill College.
